Community Empowerment Network -CENET Is a refugee youth led non-profit making community based organization operating in Rhino refugee settlement. It was started in the year 2020 after realizing number of gaps during the COVID-19 pandemic and when the developmental phase was declared in Uganda humanitarian refugee response frame (URRFW). Where some international, regional and national NGOs quited the refugee response due to limited funding. Therefore, CENET as Community Based Organization we came to close this gap. As per our stated mission and vision below. VISSION To empower, develop and promote self-reliance MISION To see empowered refugees and Natives become peaceful, selfreliant, and innovative OBJECTIVES OF CENET ✓ To build strong relationships and promote peaceful co-existence among difference ethnicities through organizing football gala, cultural gala and community dialogue. ✓ To counsel traumatized people and break isolation through provision of mental health psychosocial support services (MHPSS) to identified Victims. ✓ To advocate and voice for widows, un accompanied minors and orphans and renders Provision of community services/ Charity program. Example organizing communal works, reaching charity to elderly, orphans, women at risk among others. ✓ To promote climate change and adaption programing. Examples ensure re-afforestation, Agro-forestation and awareness against bad human activities that may cause climate change. ✓ Promote vocational skills development Example Liquid and bar soap making, kneating, electronic, carpentry and joinery, briquettes, Oven construction among others THEMATIC AREAS 1.1 General protection.
